Akhara management software

Balvira is akhara management software, not gym software with the words changed. It records guru-shishya lineage across generations, kushti and traditional disciplines, dangal entries and results, live-in boarding, and guru-dakshina alongside ordinary fees — the things an akhara actually keeps, and that no gym product has a field for.

Lineage, kept the way an akhara keeps it

Each shishya is recorded under their guru with the date they began. Moving to another guru closes the previous discipleship rather than erasing it, so the akhara keeps the whole chain — which is the point of a lineage. Gurus are records rather than logins, because most will never sign in and many are no longer living.

Dangal day

Entries by weight category, the bracket as it plays out, and the results. A win is posted to the akhara's wall automatically, where the whole akhara sees it rather than hearing it second-hand. Weight categories are free text, because federations disagree about them and an akhara should not have to pick a side.

Payment as an akhara actually takes it

Guru-dakshina sits beside cash and UPI as a payment method, because many akharas take what a family can give rather than a fixed monthly fee. It is recorded and reported like anything else.

  • Guru-shishya lineage, with the full history preserved
  • Dangal entries, brackets and results
  • Boarding records for live-in shishyas
  • Rank awards, posted to the wall when they happen
  • A branch in akhara mode beside a branch in gym mode

Questions people ask

Is there software built for akharas?
Yes. Balvira has dedicated akhara features rather than a gym product with the words changed: guru-shishya lineage, kushti and traditional disciplines, dangal entries and results, live-in boarding records, and donation-based payment. A branch is set to akhara mode and the whole product changes with it.
Can Balvira track guru-shishya lineage?
Yes. Each shishya is recorded under their guru with the date they began, and moving to another guru closes the previous discipleship rather than deleting it — so the akhara keeps the whole history, which is the point of a lineage. Gurus themselves are records, not logins, because most never sign in and many are no longer living.
Can I manage a dangal in Balvira?
Yes. Balvira records dangal entries by weight category, the bracket on the day, and the results, and a win is posted to the akhara's wall automatically where everyone sees it. Weight categories are free text, because federations disagree about them and the akhara should not have to.
Does Balvira support guru-dakshina or donation-based payments?
Yes. Guru-dakshina is one of the payment methods, beside cash and UPI, because many akharas take what a shishya's family can give rather than a fixed monthly fee. It is recorded and reported like any other payment.
Can Balvira run a gym and an akhara together?
Yes. One account can hold a modern gym branch and a traditional akhara branch at the same time, each in its own mode, sharing one member list, one set of reports and one bill. Switching a branch between modes does not lose anything recorded against it.
