Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated
Balvira does not refund a subscription period once it has been paid for. That is a firm policy and it is stated plainly here rather than buried, because the thing that makes it fair is on the other side of it: every account gets 7 days free, no card is taken at signup, and nothing renews without you pressing something.
The trial is the evaluation period
7 days from the day you open the account, free, with every published feature available and no payment details asked for. It is there so you can run the software with your real members before you spend anything. Use it. Nothing converts automatically at the end of it — when the trial runs out the account waits until you choose a plan.
Paid periods are not refunded
Once a subscription period is paid for, that money is not returned — not in full, not in part, and not pro-rata for the days left. This applies whether you stopped using Balvira on the second day of the month or the last, and whether you cancel, let it lapse, or have the account suspended.
Cancelling
Cancel whenever you like, from your account's billing screen or by writing to us. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: the account keeps working until then, nothing further is charged, and you are not asked why. Export your data before that date — it stays available while the account is open.
- No notice period and no cancellation fee
- Access continues to the end of the paid period
- No further invoice is raised after you cancel
- The period already paid for is not refunded
The four things we do refund
The policy above is about buyer's remorse, not about our mistakes. We refund in full, without argument, where the charge should not have happened.
- A duplicate charge — the same period paid for twice
- A charge taken after you had already cancelled
- A charge for an amount other than the published price of the plan you chose
- A payment that was taken but never activated the plan on your account
Downgrades and upgrades
Move up a plan whenever you need to and the change takes effect at once; the difference is charged for the remainder of the period. Move down and the change takes effect at the start of the next period — a downgrade does not produce a refund of the period you are in.
How to ask for a refund, and how long it takes
Write to the address on the contact page from the account holder's email, with the invoice number and what happened. We answer within three working days. Where a refund is due it is returned to the same card, account or UPI handle the payment came from, and the money typically reaches you five to seven working days after we send it — that last part is the bank's timing, not ours.
Fees your own members pay you
This policy is about what you pay Balvira. Money your members pay your gym never passes through us — it settles into your own Razorpay or Cashfree account — so refunding a member is between you and them, and Balvira has no ability to reverse it for you.
